Nurse Practitioner

As a Staff Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and families, while also serving as a resource nurse and preceptor. You will utilize your nursing knowledge and judgment to deliver care, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients and families, including administering medications and performing special tasks of nursing care.
- Delegate nursing tasks to nursing assistive personnel and provide direction to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) as appropriate.
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver care, and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Serve as a resource nurse and preceptor, providing guidance and support to other nurses and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Hawaii.
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a specialty area such as operating room, emergency department, or intensive care unit.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
- Completion of a formal course in a specialty area, such as basic EKG.
