Job Title: Mechanical Superintendent

Turner Construction is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, schedule delivery, and quality of work performed.
  • Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, providing input on performance appraisals.
  • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to resolve field issues and ensure project compliance.
  • Manage the billing process, including work in place, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures.
  • Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems, including building information modeling.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Physical Demands:

The Mechanical Superintendent will be required to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The Mechanical Superintendent will work on-site at the construction work site, exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
