Inspector Packer

At Jabil, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Inspector Packer to join our team. As an Inspector Packer, you will be responsible for manually inspecting completed plastics parts and packing them into boxes for shipping. You will also be responsible for sealing boxes, printing labels, and stacking full boxes on pallets. Additionally, you may operate machines and train Inspector/Packer I's. You will work in a safe manner and keep your work area clean and organized.

• In-process inspection: You will conduct frequent examinations of the visual attributes of each product, including discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination, splay, delamination, and other defects.
• Records data: You will record any information regarding the product or your performance that is deemed necessary by management.
• Packing: You will prepare products for shipping by transferring them from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting them to the shipping area, properly weighing and labeling them, and stacking finished products correctly on pallets.
• Maintains work area: You will keep the production and packing area clean, including sweeping floors, picking up stray molded parts, removing dust, dirt, grease, or oil from molding presses, and cleaning up oil or water spills and leaks.
• Sorts and reworks: You will sort and rework products that do not conform to customer requirements, properly documenting and labeling them to identify their status.
• Fosters teamwork: You will develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments.
• Completes training: You will complete all required training as assigned.
• Conducts job functions safely: You will conduct all job functions in a safe manner, complying with all applicable state and federal safety and environmental regulations.

• Average or better math skills
• Ability to spend long hours walking and standing
• Good color perception and manual dexterity
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to work well with others at all levels
• Able to work in an orderly, logical manner while paying attention to each detail of responsibility
• Good command of the English language for verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in using personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), SAP, and email skills
