About the Role

JPI is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Architect to spearhead the design, production, and construction administration of multifamily projects. This key leadership position offers the chance to shape JPI's multifamily design direction and contribute to our vision of becoming the largest multifamily developer in the U.S.

The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of multifamily experience and a proven ability to deliver high-quality architectural solutions in a fast-paced environment. You'll lead the team through all phases from schematic design through construction administration, ensuring smooth coordination throughout.

As a Senior Project Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee multiple multifamily developments, leading all phases from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Design and Documentation: Direct the production of schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction documents (CD) to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Construction Administration: Provide leadership during the construction administration phase, managing RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, and coordinating with the construction team to ensure projects are built per the design drawings.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and mentor a team of young architects and designers, providing guidance and support to ensure cohesive project delivery.

Requirements

To be successful as a Senior Project Architect at JPI, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Licensed architect preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in architectural site plan and elevation design, with a focus on multifamily projects in the U.S.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu, Procore.
  • Strong understanding of zoning regulations, building codes, and industry standards relevant to multifamily development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts to diverse audiences.
