Position Overview
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the maintenance team by managing scheduled preventive maintenance, procuring necessary parts, and ensuring the accuracy of the maintenance system and inventory levels. This position is essential for the efficient operation of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Organizes and schedules preventive maintenance for Waste Pro vehicles while coordinating the procurement of required parts for maintenance tasks.
2. Maintains organized records of repair orders, safety inspection forms, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
3. Inputs maintenance-related information into the system on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy by verifying data provided by mechanics.
4. Procures parts requested by both night and day shifts with the approval of the shop manager.
5. Oversees parts inventory management, including conducting cycle counts.
6. Receives, labels, organizes, and distributes parts to mechanics, supervisors, and management.
7. Aids the shop manager by reviewing maintenance staff time cards for discrepancies and notifying management of necessary corrections.
8. Generates productivity and usage reports for management review.
9. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
10. Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy truck parts is required, with experience in refuse truck parts being advantageous.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma and at least 6 months of relevant work experience are required. Experience in the waste management or trucking sector is preferred.
* A willingness and capability to learn Waste Pro proprietary software applications.
* Competence in computer skills, including MS Office, data entry, fleet management software, and email.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong organizational skills to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
