Job Description

We are seeking a Learning Support Professional to work with students having difficulty with reading or writing. This individual will be responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating instruction in small groups and classroom settings. The ideal candidate will possess positive verbal and non-verbal skills that enhance learning, model non-discriminatory practices, and maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in public settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver instruction tailored to meet the needs of students with reading or writing difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with students in small groups and classroom settings to promote learning.
  • Meet and instruct students at designated locations and times.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to engage students and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • NJDOE Teaching Certification.
  • NJ Department of Education Fingerprints.
  • Sped Cert a Plus.
  • NJ certified teacher (any subject).
  • Ability to create an efficient working relationship with other personnel.
  • Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills.
  • Willingness to stand for most hours of the day or sit for extensive periods of time.
