At Centria Autism, we are committed to helping children with autism reach their full potential. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support to children in their home setting.
About the PositionThis is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with special needs. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors, partnering with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans.
Your day as a Behavioral Support Specialist will be filled with engaging activities that promote optimal support for your assigned child. You will use evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children with physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
