Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Klosterman Baking Company. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control raw materials, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality tests and record results, providing updates on testing requirements and procedures as defined by customers.
  • Prioritize customer specifications and ensure all products meet customer requirements.
  • Adhere to industry quality and safety standards, including HACCP and GMPs.
  • Assist management in internal audits, GMP walkthroughs, and plant observations.
  • Conduct basic biological and laboratory testing of finished products.
  • Perform quality checks associated with bakery products, including records of scaling weight, finished product measurements, and product temperature.
  • Solve problems related to quality requirements and testing, using logic and reasoning skills.
  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors, general managers, and quality managers to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Requirements
  • Previous quality inspection and auditing experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Sharepoint, and Word.
  • Understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
  • High School diploma or GED required; 3 years of previous QA experience in food manufacturing preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year. The schedule includes Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekends as needed. The work location is in person.
