Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC certified Maintenance person to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer. This individual will perform a variety of maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. The successful candidate will work closely with different members of our team, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Performing general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Performing general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Making repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
  • Making repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, and windows, carpeting, etc.
  • Performing general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
  • Ensuring daily cleanliness of the pool and conducting proper pool maintenance to standards.
  • Keeping records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintaining logs on completed tasks via the HOT SOS system.
  • Preparing reports as requested by supervisors. Submitting all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum (1) year experience working in building maintenance; Hotel or Hospital environment preferred.
  • MUST have basic experience in all maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, Experience using basic hand and power tools.
  • HVAC experience and Certification is required for this position.
  • Bilingual in communication preferred not required.
  • Able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance; able to push, pull without assistance pull up to 200 lbs.
  • Able to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often overhead.
