OptumCare Breast Cancer Navigator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Breast Cancer Navigator at OptumCare in Las Vegas, NV.

About the Role

As a Breast Cancer Navigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care throughout their breast cancer journey. You will serve as a single point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing education, support, and navigation through the complex healthcare system.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs and develop personalized care plans to address these needs.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams, including oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on breast cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and survivorship.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive timely and effective care.
  • Monitor patients' progress and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize care delivery.
Requirements
  • Active NV Licensed RN
  • Computer literate; Microsoft Office competency
  • BSN, and OCN preferred
  • Experience in breast cancer/women's health preferred
