Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Fastenal. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify shelf product and quantity through inventory checks
  • Operate computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
  • Inspect quality and accuracy of products
  • Count and audit product
  • Use a scale for weighing product
  • Locate missing inventory
  • Inspect and correct shelf integrity
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
  • Participate in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives

Requirements:

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
  • Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
