We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at Litchfield Hills Orthopedics. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to our patients, helping them to achieve optimal physical function and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of treatment based on patient needs, goals, and progress.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- BS, MS, or DPT degree in Physical Therapy from a US accredited program.
- Current physical therapy licensure for the State of Connecticut.
- Strong manual therapy skills, including instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, and functional exercises.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
