PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The HVAC Technician III role is essential in supporting the branch and clients with all aspects of HVAC maintenance, installation, and repair. This position is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks for rental HVAC equipment are executed efficiently, accurately, and promptly. This role offers significant opportunities for professional development within our service department and beyond.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Conducts maintenance, testing, and repairs of HVAC systems and equipment both in the workshop and on-site.
- Serves as a key point of contact between clients and various departments to ensure that customer expectations regarding rental equipment maintenance and repair are met and surpassed.
- Diagnoses issues with HVAC systems and equipment to determine the most effective solutions for restoring functionality.
- Maintains professional and ethical relationships with all clients and colleagues, adhering to established company policies and procedures.
- Accurately completes all required service documentation and tickets in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with the team regarding the ordering and inventory of necessary parts, equipment, and accessories.
- Facilitates communication with the team for the delivery and collection of parts, equipment, and accessories.
- Builds strong working relationships with clients and team members by providing training on parts, equipment, and accessories.
- Promotes a culture of safety by ensuring that all tasks are performed in the safest manner possible.
- Engages in continuous learning about all company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities.
- Assists with the stocking, collection, and delivery of all parts, equipment, and accessories.
- Maintains a tidy and organized work environment.
- Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a solid background in HVAC systems and controls.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team to prioritize and complete assigned projects.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to stand, sit, and kneel for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Able to frequently lift loads exceeding 50 lbs.
