Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition, escalating concerns to the healthcare team as needed.
- Document patient care and progress in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the United States.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex patient situations and develop effective solutions.
