As a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role requires flexibility in working hours, with shifts ranging from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including on-call duties during weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
About Cleveland Clinic's Mercy Hospital: Mercy Hospital is a part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, recognized for its commitment to advanced research, cutting-edge technology, and world-class patient care. With 476 beds and a diverse range of medical specialties, we serve the communities in and around Stark County.
In the PACU, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of caregivers focused on delivering the highest quality of care to post-operative patients. Your role will involve working under the guidance of the General Anesthesiology department to ensure that patients meet discharge criteria safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the PACU.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, and update patient care plans as necessary.
- Document and communicate patients' conditions accurately.
- Execute physician and nursing orders diligently.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to standard precautions and utilizing personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of one year of recent acute care RN experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
