Meat Packaging Specialist
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with flexibility required. Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays
Location: Aurora, IL
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently pack and repackage meat products in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
  • Utilize hand tools to assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
  • Inspect containers, materials, and products to verify compliance with packing specifications.
  • Load materials and meat products into packaging processing machinery.
  • Label containers and products using marking tools.
  • Handle, move, and sort products, materials, and orders with hand tools.
  • Fill containers with products or materials using hand tools and equipment.
  • Document product, packaging, and order details on designated forms.
  • Remove completed or defective items, placing them on conveyors or in designated areas.
  • Seal containers using adhesives, fasteners, and hand tools.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background checks.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment; candidates must be comfortable in low-temperature settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to packing specifications.
  • Basic proficiency in using hand tools and equipment for packaging tasks.
