Compensation

We offer a competitive salary with a starting rate of $28 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $35.50 per hour based on experience, along with a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500.

About the Role

This Radiologic Imaging Specialist position plays a vital role in our team's efforts to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Prepares patients for radiological procedures and conducts x-rays, ensuring adherence to established protocols for patient safety and comfort.
  • Utilizes radiation protection materials and ensures that radiology equipment is functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions to the department head.
  • Logs radiologic procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Obtains pre-authorization from insurance companies for CT scans as required.
  • Ensures high-quality radiographs are obtained and reviewed by our teleradiology partner.
  • Collaborates with medical providers to clarify any discrepancies in radiology readings.
  • Provides excellent customer service, greeting and registering patients, and performing front desk duties as needed.
  • Performs basic medical assisting and occupational medicine technician tasks to maintain smooth patient flow.
  • Responds promptly to phone calls, triaging inquiries and providing accurate information to patients.
  • Cleans and stocks the site with other team members to ensure a clean and efficient environment.
Requirements
  • Possesses a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, including body mechanics and patient movement.
  • Has knowledge of radiology equipment and common safety hazards associated with radiology.
  • Can identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
  • Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices and protocols.
  • Must be able to perform all job duties without accommodations, including lifting up to 50 pounds, repeatedly bending and twisting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Demonstrates friendly and outstanding customer service skills.
  • Exhibits strong critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Education and Certifications
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Active ARRT Certification and Registration, as well as applicable state licensure (if required).
