Job DescriptionThe After-School Program Instructor will be responsible for leading up to 15 students in grades 3-6 for one-hour STEM after-school programs that can meet weekly for up to 10 weeks per program. The instructor will be in charge of preparing lesson plans based on provided curriculum and materials, distributing materials to students, and instructing lessons according to the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with parents and students. The instructor will also be responsible for updating the program manager frequently and resolving any student or parent issues that may arise.
Responsibilities- Paid Per Diem: $75 per lesson taught
- Prepares lesson plans based on provided curriculum and materials
- Distributes materials to students
- Instructs lessons according to provided curriculum
- Differentiates lessons according to student needs
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents
- Updates program manager frequently
- Resolves student or parent issues as they arise with assistance from the program manager
