Laboratory Coordinator

SGS North America Inc is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Coordinator to join our team. As a Laboratory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our analytical laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all pre-work and preparation required prior to testing of materials received is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all compliance-driven documentation is present and available for the analytical job.
- Support laboratory operation through the creation and maintenance of systems to control areas such as sample log-in, department records, controlled substances, and lab testing preparedness.
- Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all general SOPs pertaining to the analytical laboratory.
- Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure correct and timely disposition of arriving samples.
- Order and receive all supplies/items for the labs and office.
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate's degree in Chemistry or a related science field (preferred).
- 2+ years lab experience or equivalent administrative experience in a science field (preferred).
- Knowledge of basic analytical chemistry principles.
