Job Overview

The Machine Operator Lead is accountable for producing high-quality products while efficiently and safely operating continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment. This role includes leading the production work team.

Your Daily Responsibilities:
  • Operate and conduct intermediate troubleshooting on machinery.
  • Identify and address line bottlenecks; effectively communicate equipment issues to maintenance personnel.
  • Perform product changeovers independently.
  • Execute package changeovers without assistance across multiple equipment types.
  • Capable of operating machinery across various package platforms.
  • Communicate effectively using radio devices in the production area.
  • Prepare quality check sheets and conduct pre-production checklists.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standards.
  • Proficiently utilize shop floor data management systems.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and adherence to UNITED safety policies.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is essential.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Maintain a neat professional appearance in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Safeguard the safety and security of Company assets.
  • Utilize all Company-provided resources and technology effectively.
  • High school diploma or GED; or 12 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or a flexible schedule as required.
