Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement materials inspection procedures to support product design and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain materials inspection documentation and training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging materials inspection technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 14 years of relevant experience in materials inspection, including experience with Navy shipbuilding and materials inspection programs qualified to TP-271 and NAVSEA 250-1500-1.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interface with Naval Reactors, NAVSEA, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, and management.
