About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Inspection Expert to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a materials inspection expert, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Huntington Ingalls Industries is a leading provider of naval shipbuilding and nuclear energy solutions. We have a long history of innovation and excellence, and we are committed to delivering the highest-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement materials inspection procedures to support product design and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain materials inspection documentation and training programs.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging materials inspection technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- At least 14 years of relevant experience in materials inspection, including experience with Navy shipbuilding and materials inspection programs qualified to TP-271 and NAVSEA 250-1500-1.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interface with Naval Reactors, NAVSEA, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, and management.
