Riverfront Broadcasting LLC is a dynamic media company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Broadcasting Director to lead our morning show and local content for our audience.

About the Role

This full-time position involves producing high-quality sports broadcasts, guiding the team, and meeting deadlines effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong editing, communication, and writing skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming on KCCR-AM, KLXS-FM, and KCCR-FM
  • Finding programs as needed on KCCR-AM, KLXS-FM, and KCCR-FM
  • Daily editing of logs
  • Fulfilling affidavit responsibilities for area programming
  • On-Air Shift (Mornings)
  • Scheduling weekend programming
  • Ensuring all sports broadcasts and live broadcasts are on-air
  • Assisting with online presence – website, social media, and other marketing tactics
  • Planning and coordinating with GM and executing daily online and social posting activities
  • Measuring the company's performance with monthly reports; websites, social media, and email marketing
  • Working with staff to update, design, and develop new online content
  • Having a good working knowledge of computers
  • Performing related and special duties as assigned

Primary Functions of Sports Broadcaster

  • Organized and proactive self-starter seeking position as Sports Broadcaster with Riverfront Broadcasting that allows use of exceptional time management, administrative, and leadership skills.
  • Play by play coverage of Sully Butte Chargers or area teams (football, basketball, volleyball)
  • On-air shift
  • Reading commercial copy and public service announcements
  • Producing and voicing station production
  • Attending station promotional appearances
  • Performing basic technical duties
  • Overall public presentation of company's stations

Essential Job Functions

  • Assisting with severe weather coverage
  • Providing on-air and online coverage as needed
  • Posting watches/warnings online and on-air as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong editing, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere
  • Experience in post-production, journalism, and video production
  • Ability to interpret and produce content effectively
  • Familiarity with social media management and technical writing
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage programs
  • Excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $25,000-$35,000 per year, including benefits such as dental insurance, flexible spending account, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and vision insurance.

Schedule

The work schedule includes an 8-hour shift, with weekends as needed, and requires working in person.
