We are one of 10 HCA Midwest Health hospitals in Kansas City and surrounding areas.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Nurse Residency Program. As a RN Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. You will also participate in a formalized series of learning experiences, including advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing completed by start date.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer additional benefits, such as bonuses, education assistance, and professional development opportunities.
