The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Women's Health department at Sentara CarePlex Hospital. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify individual needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and timing
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and evidence-based care
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
