The Expressive Therapies Program at SESI Schools emphasizes the therapeutic and enriching aspects of both visual and performing arts.

Our goal is to enhance the social and emotional health of Camelot students through professional expertise, encouraging academic and social development, and increasing awareness of expressive therapies.

Overview

As an Art Therapist at SESI Schools, your role will involve delivering individual, dyadic, and group art therapy sessions, engaging in collaborative treatment planning, and working alongside students' treatment teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, assess, and assign students to suitable expressive therapy services
  • Conduct individual, dyadic, and group art therapy sessions
  • Create expressive therapy treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Engage in collaborative treatment planning
  • Provide training for team members
  • Accurately document student progress
  • Participate in supervision for art therapists
  • Maintain licensure in accordance with regulations
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Art Therapy from an accredited institution
  • ATR-Provisional License between graduation and LPC/ATR
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois
  • Art Therapy Registration (ATR)
  • Strong skills in art-based assessment
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations
  • Effective communication skills with professionals, students, and families
