Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Aide II to join our team at Atrium Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients/residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients/residents with personal hygiene and provide emotional support.
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Maintain patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Observe and report changes in patient/resident conditions to the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with clerical work, including answering phones and maintaining medical records.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide II.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support HealthCare Provider certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in a related field, such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient care role.
Working Conditions

This role requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms. Must have manual and finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required.
