Job Description

The Certified Medication Aide will administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role requires strong observation skills, excellent communication, and customer service skills. The successful candidate will have a state certification as a nurse aide and state-approved medication administration certification.

Responsibilities
  • Administer oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the "five rights" of medication administration.
  • Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
  • Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse.
