Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/Electronics Analyst to join our team at The Okonite Company. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a strong focus on electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers to identify potential issues and improve efficiency.
  • Optimize general electrical controls, relays, starters, and contactors to ensure smooth equipment operation.
  • Rewrite and refine programming of machinery controls to enhance quality and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to assess project feasibility and develop solutions.
  • Specify components and parts for upgrades and repairs, manage vendor relationships, and track delivery times.
  • Troubleshoot critical equipment problems as they arise and implement effective solutions.
  • Plan, schedule, and lead crews for new equipment installations and ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and stakeholders to resolve equipment repair needs.
  • Support management objectives and policies while working with union personnel, promoting safety and environmental best practices.

This role reports to the Plant Engineer/Facilities Manager in the Plant Maintenance Department.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a union workforce is preferred.
  • Basic writing skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Availability for off-shifts and/or weekends, occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
  • The ability to stand and walk on a manufacturing plant floor for extended periods.
  • Lawful right to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
