Department Overview:

The Planning & Sustainability department is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance community relations and facilitate effective communication with residents.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Respond to public inquiries and concerns with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with various County departments to address and resolve community issues.
  • Represent the County at public forums, delivering presentations and addressing community feedback.
  • Oversee all forms of correspondence and communications to ensure prompt responses.
  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives and communication strategies.
  • Maintain detailed outreach records, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports.

Role Specifics:

This position is tasked with organizing annual outreach events, fostering communication with County residents, and developing strategic communication initiatives. The role includes both administrative duties and direct public engagement. Additionally, responsibilities include creating departmental newsletters, coordinating workshops, and managing various communication platforms.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess an Associate degree in Public Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline. A minimum of three years of experience in communications, customer service, or similar fields is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
