Job Summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy construction equipment, including wheel loaders, backhoes, cranes, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and identify problems using diagnostic equipment and reading schematics and diagrams
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, including regularly scheduled PMs, oil and fluid checks, and part replacements
  • Conduct advanced maintenance tasks, including transmission and differential overhauls, engine rebuilds, and electronic system troubleshooting
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and hose replacements
  • Perform minor steel and aluminum fabrications for repairs to equipment
  • Operate fork trucks for material movement and unloading of deliveries
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Requirements
  • A.A.S. degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
  • Military advanced training in a relevant field
  • Journeyman credentials in a relevant field
  • CDL Driver's License
  • New York State Vehicle Inspector certification
  • New York State Mobile Crane operator certification
  • Welding and torch cutting experience

GE Vernova offers a competitive salary range of $27.16 to $34.27 per hour, with a $5.28 per hour transition adder.
