Position Overview

The Dining Services Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences with a focus on hospitality, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. This position reports directly to the Dining Services Director or Dining Room Supervisor. The Lead Server is responsible for training and mentoring new servers.

Qualifications

Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in healthcare settings is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Lead Server Responsibilities

  • Trains and mentors new servers in accordance with Century Park standards
  • Assists in managing meal counts and ticketing

Server Responsibilities

  • Supports and ensures proper dining room setup with fellow servers
  • Assists with dishwashing tasks as needed
  • Participates in pre-meal menu review meetings
  • Handles duties at assigned stations (e.g., beverages, salad bar)
  • Completes assigned cleaning and preparation tasks
  • Welcomes residents and guests warmly
  • Guides residents in food selection
  • Ensures timely beverage refills
  • Serves meals promptly and with appropriate techniques
  • Utilizes trays for meal service
  • Strips and resets tables during service
  • Clears dishes throughout the meal service and transports them to the dishwashing area
  • Handles soiled linens and places them in designated areas
  • Prepares tables for subsequent meals
  • Maintains cleanliness in the dining area, ensuring it is free of hazards
  • Prepares for the next meal by cleaning tables, wiping chairs, refilling condiment containers, and maintaining equipment

  • Completion of company-sponsored ServSafe training is required
