About the Role

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms during patient transports and collect diagnostic data as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist nursing personnel in providing patient care in their assigned area.
  • Perform duties relative to patient care under the direct guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • On-the-job training provided.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course preferred.
  • Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
Work Schedule

6:00am-2:30pm/2:00pm-10:30pm, e/3rd wknd/hol, occas call; 24hrs/2wks

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $23.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
