Position Overview:
- Conduct assessments of assigned patients and develop, implement, and document nursing care plans.
- Assist medical professionals during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and perform various patient tests within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
- Encourage patient autonomy by setting care objectives and educating patients and their families about conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Utilize experience and judgment to achieve care goals.
- Work schedule includes three 12-hour shifts, with varying days.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in New Mexico or a Compact RN License.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit.
