Medical Assistant

The medical assistant's responsibilities and duties include:
Greet and prepare patients for physician visits while maintaining a positive and caring attitude
Obtain and record patient information, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, current medications, medical history, chief complaint, etc.
Document patient plans of care, test, and exam results in electronic medical records as directed by physicians
Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment; stock patient exam rooms while maintaining cleanliness and organization, and dispose of contaminated items per protocol
Provide ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, and/or topical administration
Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing
Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies
Requirements:
Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting
