POSITION SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, the individual is accountable for independently conducting and documenting all test analyses as per physician directives, adhering to laboratory protocols and regulations set forth by FDA, CAP, AABB, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO to ensure optimal patient care quality. The tests performed are essential for diagnosing and treating medical conditions, encompassing specimen processing, test execution, and result maintenance. Certain procedures may be intricate and necessitate professional discretion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in medical technology or a related scientific discipline is mandatory.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist from ASCP or an equivalent body is required.
  • For those certified post-2004, current ASCP Certification Maintenance is essential. New graduates may have a grace period of six (6) months to secure certification upon hiring to maintain their position; all other candidates must present certification prior to hiring and provide necessary verification as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
