Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our team.

The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in structural analysis and developing design calculations.
  • Contributing to the creation of structural details and construction documentation.
  • Preparing geometric layouts, specifications, and material quantity assessments.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support a variety of projects.
  • Innovating solutions to address clients' most pressing challenges.
  • Maintaining a client-centric approach to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Upholding a high standard of integrity by acting ethically and sustainably.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Focus on structural or bridge engineering.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in collaborative, diverse teams striving for technical excellence.
  • Proficient technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with design standards and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Finite Element Analysis and CAD programs.
  • Progress towards professional licensure is advantageous.
