Oyster Shucker

We are seeking a skilled Oyster Shucker to join our team at Gulf Coast Restaurant Group Inc. As an Oyster Shucker, you will be responsible for preparing fresh oysters for raw and cooked consumption, ensuring the oyster bar is properly prepared, and providing assistance to kitchen staff with food preparation.

• Shuck fresh oysters accurately and efficiently
• Prepare oysters for serving to customers
• Ensure the oyster bar is properly stocked and maintained
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and plating
• Follow established recipes and plating requirements
• Rotate oysters daily and restock items as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of standard cooking methods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This position operates in a kitchen environment and requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods. Must be able to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
