Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and respiratory support.
  • Monitor and manage life support equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, including teaching about medication management, wound care, and respiratory support.
  • Participate in code blue and other emergency situations as a member of the code team.
  • Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or similar critical care environment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
