Maintenance Team Member

Sunrise Senior Living, a leading provider of senior care services, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the RoleAs a Maintenance Assistant at Sunrise Senior Living, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in our community and around the grounds. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of our residents, guests, and team members.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- General Maintenance Duties:
- Complete all assigned maintenance tasks with attention to detail and quality.
- Perform general maintenance duties such as fixing wall coverings, floor coverings, furniture, and fixtures.
- Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
- Maintain all tools and repair parts.
- Mechanical Systems:
- Assist with working on heating and air conditioning systems.
- Assist with work on domestic water systems and pumps.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance as directed by supervisor and according to safety regulations.
- Housekeeping Duties:
- Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
- Deep clean and 'make ready' resident suites as assigned.
- Risk Management and General Safety:
- Participate in promoting risk management programs and policies, adhering to safety rules and regulations.
- Practice safety procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- One (1) year maintenance and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
- Technical school education preferred.
- Demonstrates a general understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical and code compliance.
- Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum based on location, skills, and experience.
