Job Description
">The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Editor for Global Economic Insights to join its Communications Department, Publishing Division. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the editorial and production processes of the Fund's semi-annual Regional Economic Outlook reports.
">About the Role
">As a Managing Editor for Global Economic Insights, you will work closely with authoring departments and vendors to develop schedules and workplans, oversee editorial review and revision of manuscripts, and execute a digital composition workflow for print and digital outputs. You will also coordinate launch and outreach planning with COM colleagues under tight deadlines.
">Your Key Responsibilities

- Manage the editorial and production processes for the Fund's semi-annual Regional Economic Outlook reports">
- Develop schedules and workplans with authoring departments and vendors">
- Oversee editorial review and revision of manuscripts, and execute a digital composition workflow for print and digital outputs">
- Coordinate launch and outreach planning with COM colleagues under tight deadlines">
- Manage the Notes series, including working with external vendors and PD digital publishing team on metadata and posting">
About You
">We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in communications, international relations, languages, or a related field. You should have a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience, or a university degree and ten years of relevant professional experience. You must have in-depth knowledge of scholarly or commercial publishing, as well as strong project management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
