**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Parts Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for selling parts to customers, assisting with inventory management, and providing exceptional customer service.

**Responsibilities**

  • Sell parts to customers, either in-person or over the phone, ensuring a friendly and professional experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting required parts, providing expert knowledge and recommendations.
  • Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring they are exposed to our full product line.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information to customers.
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure accuracy and pricing.
  • Provide high-level service to internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders, if necessary.
  • Notify customers when special-ordered parts have been received.
  • Notify outside shops when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered.
  • Pull orders for delivery, ensuring all parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Verify will-call and back-order files weekly, returning items to vendors or stocking those not picked up or required.
  • Replenish assigned inventory daily, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Assist outside sales representatives with their orders, providing expert knowledge and support.
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
  • Ensure all charge sales are signed by the customer, and all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
  • Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring the original invoice or its number is available for verification.
  • Issue and track requested shop tools to technicians, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Solicit assigned accounts via in-person visits and phone calls, building strong relationships.
  • Keep the front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered, ensuring a professional environment.
  • Clean computer terminals and printers daily, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Participate in all training programs made available, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on new products and product updates, ensuring expert knowledge.
  • Participate with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, representing the dealership in a positive light.

**Requirements**

  • Previous Ford parts sales and/or wholesale sales experience is highly desirable.
  • Enthusiasm and high energy throughout the sales workday, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to submit to a drug screen prior to employment, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, acceptable to our policies.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance, representing the dealership in a positive light.
  • Exceptional communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communication with customers and colleagues.
