Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Specialist to join our team at Erickson Incorporated. As an NDT Specialist, you will be responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing processes to raw materials, aircraft, and aircraft parts in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and Industry Specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform NDT processes to raw materials, aircraft, and aircraft parts.
  • Conduct daily testing of NDT solutions and equipment.
  • Research, create, and train new NDT processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate and test NDT Technicians.
  • Document work per company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and tools to perform NDT processes.
  • Read, interpret, and comply with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Administration Regulations, Industry Specifications, Technical Manuals, and Drawings.
  • Meet Erickson, FAA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Achieve and maintain task qualifications and industry qualifications for all work performed.
  • Work in a team environment and follow Erickson's Values Charter.
  • Travel as required to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Perform administrative duties as required by Erickson company and department requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Required Level III certification (ASNT preferred).
  • Minimum vocational or industry Level III certifications in Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, and Visual methods.
  • Preferred - 5 years of Level III work experience in FPI, FMPI, EC, and UT processes.
  • Preferred - Level III Eddy Current and Radiography certifications.
  • Ability to perform NDT processes (FPI, FMPI, UT, EC as required and task qualified) for aircraft, aircraft parts, and components.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and comply with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Administration Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Industry Specifications.
  • Good verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for the care of NDT equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work 40 or more hours per week as directed.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as directed.
  • Have the following qualities: Professionalism, strong work ethic, punctuality, honesty, team player, work alone or with others, positive influence, detail-oriented, problem-solving skills.
  • Must have reading, speaking, writing, and understanding skills in the English language.
