Job Opportunity

California Closets Corporate is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineer Intern to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to assist our engineering team in the design and testing of custom storage solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute testing protocols to ensure the quality and functionality of our products.
  • Mock up existing parts to simulate future changes or new products.
  • Conduct testing and analysis to determine the effectiveness of proposed changes.
  • Write detailed lab reports outlining the protocol, results, and analysis.
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Create parts and assemblies within CAD software and detail them in engineering drawings.
  • Assist engineering product engineers as assigned.
  • Maintain the test lab and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a strong background in engineering.
  • Currently enrolled in college, with a focus on engineering.
  • Experience with writing lab reports and working in a lab setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Ability to create parts, assemblies, and drawings within CAD software.
  • Knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching above shoulder level, reaching forward, carrying, bending, twisting, or stooping.
  • Exposure to dust and loud noises.
