Physical Therapist Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, promoting optimal physical function and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Perform physical therapy interventions using evidence-based techniques and modalities.
  • Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants, students, and other support staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Physical Therapy.
  • Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred experience in inpatient or skilled nursing settings.
Physical Demands:

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Walk and climb stairs without assistance.
  • Meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level.
  • Lift and reach with arms to assist patients.
  • Have sensation of touch and manual dexterity to palpate muscle tension.
  • Have visual acuity to observe patient movements.
  • Speak clearly to instruct patients and families.
  • Hear at a conversational level to understand patient symptoms.
