Job Summary

Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, noting issues on the DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
  • Report any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
  • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Route Manager.
  • Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
  • Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
  • Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Notify Dispatch or Route Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol.
Requirements
  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
  • Manual transmission experience with no manual transmission restriction on CDL license, and at least 1 year of Commercial vehicle driving experience.
  • Acceptable driving record required.
