Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomographic procedures to aid in the diagnosis of disease and injury.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomographic procedures according to protocols established by radiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider, Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), and one or more of the following: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
