About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Lead to join our team at The Goldman Sachs Group. As a key member of our PWM Technology team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Client Communications Platform, a strategic platform that delivers communications to clients through various channels.

As a technical leader, you will be responsible for architecting the platform components, leading a team of engineers, and driving the adoption of modern technology stack. You will work closely with business stakeholders, including architects, senior leaders, and business sponsors to develop innovative solutions addressing the current challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a technical team of 4+ members in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, code review, and production migrations.
  • Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally.
  • Interact with business users for resolving issues with applications.
  • Play a key role in influencing platform architecture and drive adoption of modern technology stack (Kubernetes, Prometheus,...).
  • Produce scalable and extensible designs.
  • Act as hands developer in the role of architect to build and ship new features.
  • Guide junior resources technically.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a cross-regional team.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Java and related frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience working on NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience producing scalable software designs.
  • 5+ years of experience in Spring.
  • Strong sense of innovation and ownership to drive adoption of new technology frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and deploying microservices using REST.
  • Experience working on observability and monitoring.
  • Experience working on adopting Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Automated Testing frameworks.
  • Experience in Messaging Frameworks (Kafka,...).
