Overview:
The selected candidate will engage in hospitalist responsibilities, including managing inpatient admissions, ongoing care, and discharge processes within the Veterans Health Administration.

Position Details:
This role is integral to the Chief of Inpatient (Hospitalist) Service and ultimately reports to the Chief of Medicine. The incumbent will be well-versed in clinical delivery frameworks, electronic health records, and possess experience in both clinical management and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will undertake a variety of complex clinical and administrative duties, which may include:

  • Conducting TMS training and annual clinical competencies.
  • Providing patient education and guidance.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Optimizing clinical workflows and functionalities within necessary systems.

The role requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside strong team-building capabilities to foster morale and collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits:
The Veterans Health Administration offers a competitive salary structure, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increments. Employees can expect:

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • U.S. Citizenship, with non-citizens considered only when qualified citizens are unavailable.
  • A degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine from an accredited institution.
  • A current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited specialty program.

Additionally, proficiency in English and the ability to perform the physical demands of the role are required.
