Patient Intake Coordinator

As a Patient Intake Representative at Thrive, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely set up and training for all referrals. You will work as a liaison between multiple areas/people, including external partners and internal teams, to ensure referrals are handled efficiently and with proper funding sources in place.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process referrals from healthcare providers and patients for durable medical equipment.
- Work with the sales team to ensure ongoing relationships and verify insurance coverage and eligibility for DME services.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to gather necessary information and clarify requirements.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient information and equipment orders.
- Coordinate with internal teams to schedule equipment delivery, setup, or pickup.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with billing and reimbursement specialists to resolve any insurance-related issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field.
- Proven track record in medical equipment or healthcare setting.
- Excellent understanding of medical equipment specifications and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in computer software programs.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
