About This Opportunity

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician, Day Shift

POSITION TYPE: Full-time

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

STARTING PAY RATE: $28.25 per hour, increasing up to $30.75 per hour in the first year, based on certifications and experience.

Day Shift, working every other weekend.

Help us produce high-quality cheese for some of the world's most recognized brands. Our Appleton plant produces 400,000 pounds of mozzarella cheese per day, 3 million pounds of whey protein concentrate per month, and receives 2.4 million pounds of milk per day.

Job Duties:
  • Install and maintain manufacturing equipment
  • Perform stainless steel welding
  • Maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment
  • Operate boilers
  • Perform preventative maintenance and electrical troubleshooting
  • Work with pneumatics, instrumentation, HVAC, record keeping, and more
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass a general maintenance exam
  • Willing to use a forklift (training provided)
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
  • Participation in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Food processing experience or experience maintaining manufacturing equipment
  • Electro-Mechanical Technology degree or related education desired
  • Experience with ammonia systems, welding, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and motors, electrical
  • Able to read and understand standard operating procedures
  • Prior PLC experience helpful, programming and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of GMP's and OSHA highly desirable
  • Experience with single-phase and three-phase power
